Peek-a-Boo! Pico De Loro Adventure

Yeah, we know we are so late in documenting our trips. It’s 2017 and we’re still writing about our 2016 adventures. Haha. One of our resolutions is to document everything on time. Huhu. Yeah.

So anyway, a couple of months ago we were invited to visit Pico De Loro, managed by the SM group. The prime holdings group of Henry Sy is also tapping the hotel and leisure industry quite recently, which also has its own independent company under them.

Given that they are new to the field, we’ll be honest about the fact that we did not know what to expect. We were so used to their rival company, that of the so-called A’s, which invests well on leisure clubs and hotels. Upon our stay, however, we were able to experience the potential of their promising services in the hotel industry.

The club is quite near Manila, so it can easily be accessible for a weekend getaway. They even have condos for personal investments, aside from their hotel. We are not a fan of patronizing their condos though, because we feel this isn’t a very “earth-friendly” property. They ruined a natural piece of cove for a residential area. We’d understand a resort/hotel, but a residence area is quite too much of a capitalist move.

So anyway, other than that, we enjoyed their amenities. We stayed at Pico Sands Hotel, which had very good service. Sadly, we weren’t able to go to the beach club area, due to limited time (we only stayed for a night!!) and at that time they were renovating so it was temporarily closed. Nonetheless, the pool area was big enough to have a peaceful swim despite quite a crowd checked in that time.

Even the baby adventurer enjoyed! Hihi.

The gym was quite empty, too. They don’t have much equipment… But it was enough for a couple of minutes at the gym before relaxing by the pool. Plus, it was free to use, unlike those of other beach clubs like Anvaya.

Here are more pictures to sum up our stay! Yay!
